I tend to call myself a "creative structurist" or a "structured creator," which is to say I'm neither adept at completely free-form art nor interested in overly mathematical visuals.
I try to be creative in as many ways as possible. The main thrust of my work here is pixel art, but I love writing as well, so stories and essays may occasionally pop up between the many heads I put up of those beloved
TRANSFORMERS characters. I also enjoy photography but have never dedicated myself to it in a way that gives me the skill to know exactly how to approximate what my eyes see in a camera capture. Some people seem to have that, either naturally or from a lot of experience. In the work of a really talented photographer, I always feel like I can see the exact thing that attracted their eyes. I feel the same way about great artists -- the ideas they have somehow escape that death on the way from mind to pen, pencil, and brush that many of us experience.
Being here since the summer of
2008 has afforded me a lot of pleasure -- this is in many ways the most worthwhile website I have ever been part of. May it never go away!
