OCTANE has been something of an odd experience. Possessing one of the skinniest faces of the lot, at least going by his fairly definitive appearance in
STARSCREAM'S GHOST, I found capturing him a strangely difficult task.
Throughout, the crest-like top of his head gave me the most trouble and the colouring -- like all characters with colour schemes in the range of lavender, violet, and purple -- very difficult to edit in
Microangelo's colour palette. By
2007, I had taken to using the colour picker on my screen captures and enter the
RGB code into the icon palette (because I could never do it that well on sight) and finally in
2009, the proportions fell into place as well.
