LIFESPAN
SEASON ONE - SEASON TWO - THE MOVIE - SEASON THREE
BEGINNINGS 1998 - 2001
I tend to discount the first mildly-put incomplete version of RAVAGE, but I figured it might be interesting to see where I originally intended to go with him, into that more uncertain realm of the animalistic Transformer. The ¾ pose turned out to be too difficult for me and I ended up abandoning work on him for many months. When I was finally inspired to try again, I decided to change angle to a frontal portrait instead. Much like the first LASERBEAK, RAVAGE became a surprisingly (if still only relatively) easy assignment; I probably spent no more than about 25-30 minutes, all told, on that first proper attempt. I probably spent about the same amount of time three years later, making him a little sleeker and giving him more appropriate dark tones.
SECOND WIND 2008 - 2009
I admit the aspect of angle is a little arbitrary with me. I would prefer every character to be shown in portrait view, but it only works for me with some of the animals. I feel RAVAGE is more effectively depicted in the ¾ pose, so I returned to it in 2008 and gave him as much due as I could stand in about three hours' time. The only change in 2009 was a refinement of his colours, followed in 2011 by similar improvements, including a slightly longer neck.
