The Victims of Tornedron by Trecathlus The Victims of Tornedron by Trecathlus
THE VICTIMS OF TORNEDRON
Thursday, July 22, 2010

Around 2002, I came upon the idea of making a collection of the various Transformers who were drained of their life force by PRIMACRON's creation TORNEDRON, but they were lackluster and only available as separate images.

In 2010, they were compiled into this deviation. A few adjustments will be needed -- probably, they will be fixed before the year is up.

Awesome shading of the petrified Transformers who stood no chance against Tornedron. Ever thought of doing the Tornedron transformations as he petrifies everyone in each scene? Like the monsters for example.

Thanks. :-)

The thought has crossed my mind, but I can probably only do it if there are enough shots of his various forms to get a good idea of how to render their appearances.

Your welcome buddy,

Just an idea but it's really either way for you.

I don't think Abonimous was the exact victim since we only saw the Terracons indivually were the victim.

Also, where's Windcharger, he made a brief cameo?

You're right about ABOMINUS as far as it empirically went. The Terrorcons were depleted of their energy while still in monster modes. However, there are a few reasons why I inlcuded him, some perhaps less valid than others.

Combiner technology is not properly explained in the series, but the super robot form is an extension of its constituents rather than a basic entity that splits into them. So I included ABOMINUS here because, whether or not he takes the combined shape of the individual Terrorcons, he is essentially present.

Another motivation was purely mathematical and layout-based. :-)

As for WINDCHARGER, he does make a very brief appearance in the episode. You can see him running past KUP in the background as TORNEDRON descends upon Cybertron.

OK, as for Predaking, he actually was a victim, but unlike the Terrorcons, he seperated after being suxed.

Yes, I know. Hopefully, I do give the impression of having seen the episode at all. ;-)

Obviously, PREDAKING was empirically shown to experience the drainage. One part of me has actually always felt that, since we didn't actually SEE ABOMINUS during those scenes, he shouldn't be included, but another part thinks he shouldn't be the odd one out, either. And, though his partial existence in each of the Terrorcons moves us into metaphysical terrain, I still feel like he's "there."

I'm almost surprised you didn't react to my having included EJECT and REWIND here, since I don't think we ever see them. I just assumed they would be inside BLASTER, who was seen drained of his life force, and thus be drained as well.

In fact, you know what? As long as there's no evidence that LASERBEAK, RUMBLE, or FRENZY ceased to exist, they should be in here, too, shouldn't they? :-)

Yes they shall, and what about Full-Tilt, he's part of Trypticon?
